About Richard Torné

Richard Torné is a journalist and former editor of the Costa Almería News, an English-language weekly published in Spain from 2005 to 2018. He has written extensively on film making in Almería and was the co-author of David Lean’s Dedicated Maniac – memoirs of a film specialist.

He has also been a feature writer and columnist for the UK-based monthly magazine, Everything Spain, and has written for the internet website Open Democracy as well as various articles for The Sunday Times. More recently, he has contributed to The Local and A Place in the Sun.

He has just finished writing his first novel.

In his spare time he plays guitar and sings in a covers rock band, called Hysteria.
